ACHIEVE POWER THROUGH SELF DEVELOPMENT .

ACHIEVE POWER THROUGH SELF DEVELOPMENT .

Every human being has the basic right to be happy in order to avoid all of life's tragedies. Happiness is a regular state, just like the seasons and the sceneries. Suffering is abnormal, and it is only caused by our ignorance. Happiness is

the outcome of wisdom. To achieve perfect wisdom, to fully comprehend the purpose of existence, and to fully realize the relationship of human beings to one another, is to put an end to all suffering and to escape every misfortune and evil that befalls us. Perfect intelligence is pure bliss.

Why do we suffer in life? Because, in the grand scheme of things, we are being pushed forward in evolution, and we lack the spiritual enlightenment that alone can illuminate the road and allow us to pass safely among the barriers that lie ahead. Usually, we don't notice or suspect the presence of difficulty until it suddenly springs upon us like a hidden tiger. One day, we Both have left, and no cause is apparent. Aside from these major catastrophes in life, countless minor events continue to cause us minor misery and pain. We desperately want to avoid them, but we never see them until they strike us, and then we stumble upon them in the darkness of our ignorance. The thing we lack is spiritual enlightenment, which will allow us to see far and wide, discovering the hidden causes of human pain and explaining how to avoid them; if we can only get illumination, the evolutionary path will be both comfortable and rapid. It is As if we had to pass through a long, gloomy room with promiscuously placed furnishings. In the dark, our progress would be slow and unpleasant, with numerous bruises. But if we could touch a button to turn on the electric light, we could do the same route fast, safely, and comfortably.

The ancient style of education was to fill the mind with as many information, or imagined facts, as possible while also polishing the personality on the outside. The assumption was that when a man was born, he was already a fully developed human being, and all that could be done for him was to load him up with information that he could employ with more or less skill, depending on his innate aptitude. The theosophical view is that the physical man, and everything that makes up his life in the physical world, is but a very partial

expression of the self; that in the ego of each there is practically unlimited power and wisdom; that these may be brought through into expression in the physical world as the physical body and its invisible counterparts, which together constitute the complex vehicle of the ego's manifestation, evolve and adapt to the purpose; and that in the exact proportion that conscious effort is given to such self-development, spiritual illumination

be realized and wisdom obtained. Thus, the light that leads to happiness is lighted from within, and the evolutionary journey that we are all on may be free of suffering.

Why does death cause misery? Especially since it divides us from the people we care about. The only other reason death causes pain or terror is that we do not understand it and the role it plays in human evolution. However, as our ignorance gives way to comprehension, such dread fades away, and a tranquil bliss replaces it.

Why do we have enemies whose words or actions cause us to suffer? Because in our limited physical consciousness we do not understand the unity of all existence and realize that our wrong thinking and doing must respond on us through other people, a position from which there is no possible escape except by ceasing to think evil and then patiently awaiting the time.

There is no way out except to stop thinking evil and then wait patiently until the causes we have already developed are entirely expended. When spiritual illumination arrives and we no longer stumble in the night of ignorance, the final enemy will vanish, and we will make no more eternally.

And so it is with all of our pain. They are both reactions to our ignorance and instructors pointing out the better approach. When we have grasped the teachings they teach, they are no longer required and disappear. Men do not become intelligent and great by the external acquisition of facts. It is accomplished by developing the soul from inside, which then floods the brain with the flood of light known as genius.
